Nothing about pole shifting and loss of electricity here.

No moar electricity.

All you who want to tell 2012 is a conspiracy just attack the Mayans calendar, the last 2 pages I've been mentioning solar maximum but you continue talking about Mayan calendar ignoring me. IDGAF about that damn calendar.
I havn't been ignoring you. I just can't be fu**ed reading the entire thread. I'm coming in half way...

Do you have any credible links?

so the next solar maximum is going to take out two cities electricity for a minimal amount of time? how scary... NOT! epic fail.

do you know how insignificant one city is on earth? power failure or loss of electricity for a short time is nothing to repent for.

Enron did more damage than a gay solar maximum ever did. watch out people, Enron will hit again!

MMM, that page only explains what a solar flare is, and that the biggest one is to come in 2012. The most powerful storm in 1859 caused all telegraphs to be unable to send anything... but the next one is predicted to be much more powerful due to the alignment of Saturn and Jupiter in both sides of the sun (this one has a bigger effect on the electromagnetic field causing the solar flare to be much more powerful. I found it interesting when I read it, it also taught me that Sun revolves Jupiter and Saturn as well.

Also check out Geomagnetic storm - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Magnetic storms usually last 24 to 48 hours, but some may last for many days. In 1989, an electromagnetic storm disrupted power throughout most of Quebec[1]

The next flare could be a lot more dangerous for the reasons I gave above. It can shift poles (tsome researchers have found that earth shifted poles and rebalanced itself a lot of time ago).

---------------------------------

Just to make sure, I'm an atheist, I do not believe into religion. I always read all this from a scientific viewpoint. Religious people say that the solar flare could be so powerful it might destroy earth, but it's very unlikely considering our atmosphere can resist quite a lot. The real question is whether what I wrote above will happen, that one could or could not happen. End of the earth is out of the question. There is no scientific proof behind that statement.

I said the last did that damage and the next will be a lot more powerful. Please read!

Huge damage from solar flares may happen, may not in the coming years.

Everyone, don't get your world view from unaccredited internet theories.
Internet theories? Do you know about solar flares? They have happened before. The next is predicted to be much bigger, and that comes right from NASA and their planets alignment prediction. Also, you're the on talking about Mayans, buddy, since you can't find a way to counter my argument.

I haven't even read any of this thread except for this first post.

Okay so basically, Nostradamus predicted the world will end on December 12th 2012, so does the Mayan Calendar.

Every other prediction that Nostradamus made has came true, not the same with the Mayan Calendar.

So will it come true? No one knows. Just wait and see.
Personally, I doubt it will.

Yo, just to let you know, they aren't internet theories.

It's been circulating for tens, if not hundreds of years.

Please at least skim a thread before posting lol. Surely threads are about more than people reading the first post and giving their opinion. All this stuff has been discussed. Whichever side your on, you gotta respond to the latest point.

LOL.

I'll sure as hell be watching people die with a bucket of popcorn if that happens.

And if I die... y'all can watch me.
