Thank you for the congratulations (of sorts) - and I`m happy to hear you felt that way. For us, however, it was a big mess of frustration and stress - which likely led to my son`s IUGR and later premature birth as the problems started around that point.
If I had the choice to go back and do that point in life over again, I`d definitely not do the wedding. I have a pretty good feeling our relationship was well in context as we were also in the process of buying a house at that point. (And would have MUCH rather had them help us with the down payment!)

There's a guy on Flicker who posted a bunch of photos of a jinja of that name in nagoya that is a orphanage.
I think I found the one you meant - but the Narumi jinja isn`t the one in Arimatsu that is an orphanage. He has pictures of both it seems.

If anyone is trying to find me… Tamyuun on Instagram is probably the easiest.

Ha, I love how people all the sudden starting saying the word gaijin. It's not a polite word :P stop watching Tokyo Drift.

It's a commonly used word that only is negative when used in a negative context...like "black".

There are a lot of people who are "offended" by that word here.

Sarcasm doesn't come across in text.

Let's face it. Not only is it foreign to us, (imagine if people were wearing... I don't know... bavarian lederhosen.) so we look pretty silly wearing it unless there's a really good reason to, it's also old fashioned. I *know* that they're still sort of worn in Japan, but... it's not like people wear them all the time.

It'd be like a Japanese person wearing a huge skirted western style ballgown around town. We wear ballgowns to very very formal events, and they are old fashioned. Or if... they wore a girdle- we've moved on. Or, since the clothes don't translate that well- like them laying the table with 4 kinds of forks.
