But, china is full of several cultural groups of people and it is very difficult for china to gain support of all these groups. Throughout history China has been thwarted in some of thier aims because of lack of support from the populace. It's been said that america has lost direction and focus because they no longer have a Commie rival. All the western countries have become full of soft, debt-ridden, pleasure seeking people who think the world is all about rainbows and that everything will be fine if you just talk to people an "get out your message." Maybe a new challenger will light a fire under our asses and give us a reason to buckle down.

And lastly, joshaussie, you change your avatar more often than I change my underwear.

I agree with Noodle, but, correct me if I'm wrong, but America owes China alot of money.

They said that those monks don't have a clue and that it isn't the general feeling amongst tibetans. Some may call that exaguration, but to me, that's pure lying. Showing half a video and proclaiming that ALL tibetans want a free tibet when in fact, the older monks think that those little monks are idiots.

EDIT; I don't know if you can read the english on what that french guy said, but he's probably summed up the situation in that interview... Hypocracy

Please.... Why would I trust a website which not only has nationalist overtones but also doesn't give any context to the reports which it is criticising. To me, all the site seems to be doing is splitting hairs.

There aren't many other countries in the world that offer as much freedom and luxury as the United States of America...
Of course others would hate us.

But, I'll tell you one thing: Our allies aren't insignificant. They are some of the greatest nations in the world, and I'm glad they are on our side.

This isn't the 1940's. The threat of a full scale invasion in the current global political climate, especially of Australia is minimal.

I don't know how that is relevant. The US has better relations with Japan and Korea than it does with many "white countries"

Heck Israel is arguably the US closest ally and they are not a "white country". (Israel at least gets the most military support from the US)
