I skillfully blend a knowledge of many languages with my own innate airheadedness to speak what is commonly referred to as "gibberish". Took me five goes to answer a lady in Berlin in the right language when she asked if I'd like fries with that
You'd think "Ja" isn't that hard... On the other hand it proves handy for helping lost tourists in London, because most Europeans can also communicate in Euro-gibberish (a mongrel tongue of English, French, German and Italian - keep switching languages until you're understood). |
