you know...
i've ALWAYS wanted an asahi from a vending machine =D
But it's tough when you can only pick one. I'd love to visit a sushi-ya as well, just so I could eat sushi in an authentic Japanese setting...but paying for cds/DVDs without import fees is just too hard to pass up.

Why is there not a choice for a camera shop?

Ouch! Did you have to remind me why I am broke this week?

Actually I picked sushi too, but only because my choice wasn't there.
A shop where I could find my taiko drums and an affordable samisen would come before even sushi or tea.

Less than $10 in Nakano.

Less than $20 in Ikebukuro.

hon-sushi...
do i have to spell it out in japanese?
本寿司

ok i did... .lol x]

but real sushi is a seasonal thing =.=
the sushi that you have posted are typically from farm raised fish and available year-round

real sushi changes w/ the seasons
thus it's expense

and just too break it down

aji - in america, it's expensive because of importing; in japan however, aji is a relatively cheap fish

maguro, ika(?), tako, amaebi, ikura.... ALL are very very very cheap =.=
the most expensive out of that list is the amaebi (not by much) and the maguro (which varies, depending if it's yellowfin, big-eye, or bluefin)
basically......... you got the cheap fish x]
