just a phew:

-The Nakba, obvious reasons.

-statue of Djenghis Khan......willpower,fearlessness(is that even a word) all for the familia etc, reminds me of Altan Khan etc. the Khan´s had a major impact on the world from germany to japan in a very short time period.....basically it reminds me that anything is possible etc.

-not this picture but when I first saw the gates in real life I know I was home, can´t describe the feeling I had the first time I saw this place my fam told me so many times about.

First two are pictures of Matoub Lounes... He is a hero the the Berber/Kabyle people... I love the first picture because it shows the simplicity of people in Kabylie (a region in Algeria). He (in the middle) is with friends and family as people are in Algeria. Brings back memories of my family and friends that I haven't seen in years...

The second pic was when Matoub got assasinated. Supposidly an extremist group killed him, but all Berbers know that it was the Algerian Government... Matoub was the voice for the people, and they didn't like it... ... A sad day in modern berber history...

The last pic is another pic of berbers... I like this picture because it shows me that even though we've been invaded again and again since the dawn of time, we've not lost our culture and traditions.
