Scotland, like any country, has its ups and downs but I'm proud of the fact that we invented so much and also of golf, acting and strong traditions

I may not agree with everything these politicians do, but I am truly grateful to live in America.

Is this a new trend? And if I may ask, why?

After living in Japan for a year I couldn't wait to get back to American lifestyle. There's so much freedom in choices, you really don't know what you have until you don't have it anymore. I appreciate it more now. However, there are things in Japan that I wish America had more of, like a sense of community and respect towards others. America is so focused on individuality that it forgets about connecting with others. At least, that's what I find where I live anyways. I really need to get out of the south, the crazy religious people scare me o_o (sorry if there are crazy religious people on here...) I think I would do well in California, lol

Am I proud of my country?
No, I'm not proud of the Netherlands, not as it is right now.

First I'd like to say that being proud of your country doesn't necessarily mean to be proud of your countries government. It means to be proud of the traditions and overall culture of your people. Saying you're not proud of your country is like saying you're not proud of who you are because the society within your country is what influenced who you are today.
I'm very proud of Lebanon. ( I'm a Lebanese mix but I was born and raised there a majority of my life. )
I'm also very proud to live in America, I do miss home but I enjoy American culture and the diversity and freedoms found here.
That's right, I said it, I'm proud of america, deal with it.

hah just realized I already replied to this. Oh well! Opinions change.

The path to equality is a long road to travel.

I live in Denmark and yes I think I'm proud of "my" country.
Or at least happy with it ^^
The weather sucks most of time but the way the country works is great I think. There's extremely little poverty and crime, and things like school, education and doctors are free. And if you lose your job, the state will pay for you until you can get back on your feet without you having to pay back. An easy country to live in
I would not say that I'm proud of the culture though. Not that it is bad, sick or something like that. It's just kinda boring :P
