There wasn't much to report about McCain's speech because he didn't really say anything, and what he did say wasn't said with the conviction that Obama had.

I havn't heard the broadcast of a prior speaking engagement he made, but if its true he sang..

'bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran' in the style of the Beach Boys hit, then anything else he says is irrelevant.

If he is elected, that quote will haunt him, and the rest of the world will continue to unfortunately have a poor view of the USA....

I'm hearing alot of people didn't find McCain's speech really bad or anything, but a bit boring. I saw some parts of it, and I guess that is kind of in line with my opinion.

I'd say yes. The "leader of the free world" should in my opinion be able to use a computer, and well I might add. Otherwise he is just too much out of touch with the times, for my taste.

Newsflash...

The USA are not the 'Leaders of the Free World'

They are the nation with the biggest stick and deepest pockets

I know that Chihuahua. Thats why I use "quotation marks".

They do, however, like to call themselves that.

That is just one of many of his frightening quotes.

McCain regurgitating the past with the exception of his own involvement with Saving and Loans collapse in the 80's- as one of the 'Keating 5' that collapsed a lot of banks and pocketbooks? Charles Keating wined and dined McCain and his wife and flew them down to his digs in his personal jet in the Bahamas numerous times and McCain ran interference for Charles Keating 'pyramid' in the S&L business. McCain walked away from this train wreck with a 'slap on the wrist'. McCain was a prisoner of war so what? During the Vietnam War if you served in the infantry as a grunt you did'nt get the luxury of being a prisoner of war because your political value was less than aviators. Having lived in Alaska ( Ft. Wainwright ) Wasilla is not a small town by Alaska standards - it has stop lights. Wasilla pop. 10,000-08' / the yearly salary in 1999 for Sarah Palin as mayor was $ 68,000 USD . As Alaska Gov. Palin sold the governors jet ( bought by republican gov. ) at a net loss of some $ 600,000 USD to Alaska taxpayers and it was not sold on ebay / somebody should get a refund.

Wasilla might be pop. 10,000 now but it was probably closer to 6000 when Palin was mayor.

I dunno man, I've seen all the speeches and seen both sides of the story. And I still don't know who I agree with. I don't know why either. All I ever get is the parties trying to make the other look bad, trying to mudsling, why can't we be unified, and not divided, give consessions and make compromises. Bring unity and truth to our goverment. Think for a minute, find all the facts and it turns out that everyone, both parties, are full of liers, cheaters, and theves, not everyone, just the ones that count.

For me this election isn't about, who's going to be the best leader of our country. It's about finding the lesser of 2 evils. Sorry if I don't know all the facts or all the things that they want me to belive. I'm tired of hearing Obama against McCain McCain against Obama. Why can't the parties work together? Why can't McCain and Obama work together, I know there can be only one President, but I don't think either one is going to be what we want. Understand that election promises, are just that, promises made to get you elected. And I don't think either one is qualified to lead this country.
