Football [soccer] practice every Monday and Wednesday's, and all the other days I just run for a while. : )

But to answer the poll, I have my own home gym.

I would rather to go to a gym because I get to socialize. Also the fact that if I were home, I'd slack off and not have the will to do anything. If I weren't distracted by anything in my house, sure, I'll buy stuff for a home gym.
Many people feel the same as you, I think. Many say they feel more motivated when they go to the gym.

Good Lord.

I finally went to the gym today, walked in, and walked out embarrassed as hell. I realized that not only do I not know what exercises I need to be doing to tone my body the way I want to, but I have no idea how to work the machines found inside!

If there was ever a time I've felt like an idiot, I can add this to my list (it's huge, trust me).

Just ask an instructor on how to use a machine properly. If you're really embarissed, don't say you have no clue. Just say you want to know the right way to move your body on the machine without injuring yourself.

It's okay to feel chicken, but you can definately go back in there with courage and will to be fit!

Oh I got the courage and will, just no knowledge.

Plus, the personal trainers there that could help me out with using the machines and all that jazz are kinesiology majors at my school. Bit of a buzz kill to know that I gotta' time my gym schedule with theirs.

Well, don't just ask only those people. Ask workers and other people working out.

They will probably be thrilled to share thier knowledge. You gotta start somewhere, so don't sweat that stuff. Soon you'll be one of the folks at the gym instructing others on stuff. Maybe get a few books from the library on fitness that tell you how to use the machines and how to plan a workout, then go and talk to a gym instructor. You'll be armed with a bit of knowledge and won't appear to be such a noob.
