Exclamation Need help with my bedroom. - 09-28-2008, 09:02 PM

I wasn't sure where to put this at.
But I would like my bedroom to be Asian style.
Like with the silky fabrics, cute little pillow to sit on and stuff.
Does anyone know any sites where I could find things like;
Bed spreads, pillows, curtains, etc?

Here is a site with bedspreads with asian designs and such...

Here is an article from eHow.com. With tips on where to buy your furniture, and how to set it all up!

How to Design an Asian Bedroom

By eHow Home & Garden Editor

Asian-influenced design should be balanced and simple. You can create an exotic Asian-themed bedroom with a little paint and a few simple and inexpensive accessories and window dressings. Before you know it, you will be in a state of Zen while relaxing in your Asian-inspired bedroom.

Instructions
Difficulty: Easy
Things You’ll Need:

* Paint
* Solid-colored or muted-patterned bedding
* Natural-fiber area rugs
* Bamboo Roman shades

Step1
Choose a wall color. For the walls, choose a warm and rich earth tone like a muted olive green or, if you prefer darker colors, a warm and rich burgundy.

Step2
Buy new bedding. Choose solid-colored or muted-patterned bedding that complement your wall color. Resist any bold or bright patterns; they are too busy and create "visual noise."

Step3

Hang curtains. Bamboo Roman shades are an excellent choice. If the price of real bamboo shades is a little too steep, try imitation bamboo shades. No one will know the difference.

Step4
Purchase a few area rugs. Buy natural-fiber area rugs like those made of jute, sisal or sea grass.

Step5
Choose accessories. To give balance to the predominately straight and geometric lines of the room, buy soft and curvy accessories. These accessories also will add interest and personality to your Asian-inspired bedroom.

Step6
Consider purchasing a bedside fountain. Moving water is considered to be good "chi" or energy, because as it moves, it cleanses. Aside from the chi factor, fountains are soothing.

Tips & Warnings

* Buy a few interior design magazines to help you find inspiration.
* Nix the black lacquer for large items. If you must have black lacquer, use it very sparingly. For example, a black lacquer jewelry box with a mother of pearl inlay is beautiful. A black lacquer dresser? Not so much.
* Don't overdo it. Too many accessories, pictures and all-around clutter creates visual noise and is not relaxing.

If none of the above work, eBay is a good place to look.

World Market and Pier One Imports are good too. Sometimes Ikea is pretty good with what you're looking for.

I buy lots of Asian-y stuff from World Market. There's a lot of cool stuff you can find there!

Thanks for reading!

「ASIAN STYLE」 bedroom? I have the idea, maybe, like.
large~
Colour~ Wall soft beige colour.
Floor~ Wood or tatami
bedsheet style~ Soft colours except red. Red is good.
~soft cover sheet colour: beige
~Bedding colour beige or black
~comforter is nice embroidered or one soft red or pink or light colour
~very High or very low is O.K.
Furniture~ Dark wood
Curtain- thin
-if, layered
-white
More~
-byoubu
-fan
-vase
-plant
-picture
-mini waterfall
-slide door
-if 2nd level, tree below, grass view
-or beach style(like hotel style) water pool river with palm and and sunny and sand
-forest style with sakura and dark tree and bridge with water lily and fish
-city style(like beach hotel style) to have near light, city, school, shopping

-balcony view
-chair
-flower
-lamp

But that is my idea. It is many style, but you should like room you make, so comfortable and coming home is good and nice.

Wewt! This is pretty awesome to go by.
I'm also redoing my room soon sometime within this month.
Thanks ^-^ It helped on deciding colors and bedding for my room.
The only problem is that I have a ferret and I can't have it how they normally have their beds.. ya know?
