lucky! - 10-02-2008, 09:11 PM

Ah, you are so lucky!!! I envy you. If I had a opportunity to go to Japan, I would take it, and never look back! I might suggest learning to speak japanese though, (If you don't already)I am trying to learn, just because if I ever go to Japan, it would probably be more efficient...

It will be an unforgettable experience. I first visited Japan when I was 16, and it changed my life.

obviously, my point is that he'll need to get off the base as much as possible. I'm sure he's already aware of this. Not sure if they teach Japanese in the military classes either

I know that. There are 5 Military Bases in Japan. Chances are it could be on Okinawa, which im aware if an island of Japan, and Yokohama. Most bases are around an hour or so away from the Big cities, so basically im still not informed as to were out of all this cities we might be going, my dad hasnt gotten that sort of information yet, Far as he knows, from what hes told is, we might be moving to Japan within this summer or within this year. Chances like i said, during the summer, Hopefully.
Hes basically 95% sure we ARE going, since the other 5% would be the fact that he feels ackward leaving his parents behind here, but not that we get along so much either. :/

But as long as i can travel out of this country, and i mean, just going to Japan, thats an awesome opportunity for me, and ill be glad with anywhere they send us there, even if its Okinawa.

That's great! I'm so happy for you! I'd die if I could move to Japan.

Hopefully when you say "He" youre referring to me, even though im a "Her".

Anyways, I know what Ill be dealing with.
Trust me, I know tons of Military kids even here on Florida.
But Id rather get out of this place and take the first chance i get to go there, no matter the circumstance.
Besides, i dont have much of a choice either way do i?
I mean its my dads job, and if we go, we go.
Im not going there to socialize with people in the base though.
They already reminded me that once there, we only live on the base, we go to school, but everything else is out. Including sports, anything.
Ive only got 1 more year of highschool so its not like Ill care much bout the people in the base.
