also it means i could dig out my old AMD K6 450!!
(which never ran above 400 after a little overclocking "incident") I LOVED that peice of shit machine...i called her Bertha...and she could run ANY programme.......eventually they really dont build them like that anymore..... also the tower was beige...why don't they make them beige anymore? |

in a nutshell W7 is more of a "remake" than a "port".
Most people using this have experienced better video quality, faster surfing; web and local. The interface isn't as friendly as XP, but we can't expect everything.. There is also a new toolbar/taskbar, that was not included in this release, look it up... Windows 7: Windows 7 Taskbar, 'Peek' and Multitouch Gestures Caught On Video Microsoft is making computer's just like air conditioners; they work properly until you open WINDOWS. |

Beta is announced already, coming out in 2 days or less.
A site was put up for information: Welcome to Windows 7 I've checked it out, the pre-beta and such, and IMO it looks really promising, better than Vista in all ways, and could beat XP if it goes like this. To all those who don't know yet, Windows 7 is the next operating system Microsoft is making. |

i haven't gone into depth with it ... but what i have read just states that it is Vista .. just reskinned and tweaked a little bit ...
/shrugs ... i don't have any issues with vista or xp though so i prob won't install it on any of mine till something requires it. |
