Now that was a very good scene. . I liked that because that was one of many parts of the movie where a human has helped an autobot take down a decepticon. You know that my parents were very hype about the first movie cuz they were fans of Transformers even before I was born. It was that serious. Did anyone else experience that type of parental craziness?

Sadly my parent is not that young lol. I guess i'm old enough though to have gone through that hype but I didn't think the first movie was going to be as good as it was. I never believe the hype about any movie, so when I watch it and its good, its a pleasant surprise.
Now there are lots of cool movies coming out though, including Terminator 4 with Christian Bale as John Connor.

Well that is a little crazy. At least he knows a flaw that the director didn't know. Probably.

Good call ivi0nk3y im really excited about Terminator 4 especially since they have already hinted that everything Sarah Connor told John and everything we have learned about Judgment day up to this point has been DEAD WRONG.

cant wait to see it.

Do you know if we are meant to forget 3 ever happened when watching 4?

I heard the story of the series takes place in an alternate reality... so does 4 take place in the universe of 3 or the series?

Well i have been taken snipets from around the web and piecing together some thoughts. Keep in mind this is just a rough idea from confirmed and unconfirmed info.

I believe all 3 paint a picture and we are not suppose to forget we are suppose to compare. Most of us know the theories behind the negative aspects of time travel. Time travel is not a good idea because its impossible to go back in time and change something even stepping on a blade of grass could cause a paradox. In movies 1 2 and 3 the resistance sent someone back in time to protect Sara and John. The problem is you can not just go traveling in time and expect not to change things therefore either altering or creating a new future or even a parallel future running along side the one you know but with differences. There are hints in the 2nd and 3rd movies that point to this. In movie 3 we learn that its impossible to stop judgment day even though in T2 they were sure they did, everything Johns mom did up till that point was to prepare him for what was coming from what she had been told. Reliable information from a future that does not exist anymore thanks to Johns dad and the Skynet.

What i think we are going to see in movie 4 is the result of all the meddling from movies 1 through 3. They made a clear statement that everything we know will be turned upside down and that Sarah and Johns dad got it wrong. They were told information from a future that had not already been altered by events in the past. Which is why if you watch the extended trailer John says something is very wrong this is not like the future his mother and the good Terminator from T2 told him about.

Thats my take on it and iv seen others around the web have some similar theories on it. In a way you are right its an alternate telling but not quite.

The wait is killing me though, those AI black bikes looked bad ass.

getting back on subject, they did try the original cars but they had two problems
a) a lot of the manufacturers wouldn't give permission and b) they found that a car chase where a Volkswagon Beetle outruns a shiney new Mustang a little hard to pull off

That is true. That would look pretty strange in the movie.
