Thats because they're supposed to be more robot action and less 'how th US can defeat super advanced robots' *grumbles*

Cant wait for more Optimus Prime awesomeness....

The GI Joe movie looks better.

I watched Transformers on DVD and in the cinema. The cinema experience totally masks some of the lame scenarios. Huge robots clumsily hiding in a back yard? Men in Black who are so incompetent and unprofessional?

Dont forget the US army taking down a Decepticon. Seriously, in either Gen 1 & 2 or in some of the latest Transformers stuff when did any human come anywhere near being able to take one of them down? Though you do have a point about kame scenarios. I think the novelty of it being Transformers is what made it so big the first tme round, though it was still an awesome film.

Hmmm, time to go find certain websites again.

admittedly there were some pretty cheesy moments in the first one,Optimus' aweful line of "sorry,my bad" for example, but there were some pretty spectacular ones too like the whole Bumblebee vs Barricade chase/fight
