Whale is on my "To eat" list. According to my ex, it is really tasty, but expensive.

The hunting grounds of the Japanese are International waters. While no nation has jurisdiction over such waters we do have a right to be pissed off that Japan is going against the consensus of the International community regarding this. I fully support sanctions of some sort against Japan.

Furthermore if Japanese people insist on hunting whales for traditional purposes then let them use traditional tools to catch them rather than steel hulled ships and grenade tipped harpoons.

I dislike whaling in general so it could be any country and i would still be unhappy about it. The Japanese found a loop a hole and are using it plain and simple and no one bothers amend or fix the loop hole the Japanese are still doing what they are legally allowed to do not morally but legally. So until its change there is not much anyone can do about it. I dont like hunting anyway and not just whales other animals as well.

If you want to be fair give the whale a harpoon.

I'll never understand the people that think it is ok to waste a life because of a meal.

As long as you don`t order or eat whale, I don`t see the issue. If it were indeed something niche, with only a small number of places serving it - I could see the effort. Otherwise... well... Even small grocery stores have it so it will be quite hard to find food if you avoid all establishments that serve or sell whale.

Just don`t buy it.
Yeah it's like going to America and trying to avoid every restaraunt that sells chicken tenders. It's possible...but it's pointless.

Again....just don't buy.
