I can't see it either... which is why it is likely I'll never respect China Quote:
Second I wasn't talking about independence. I was talking about respecting the will of the Taiwanese. If Taiwan CHOOSES to become a part of China then that's their call. Though I don't see why it would forego it's local democratic autonomy for an authoritarian central government. Quote:

China will continue to rise, but like every nation/empire, one day it will fall! But, considering China's history and it being the oldest liiving civilisation in the world, I'm sure this cycle will keep repeating.
Ronin4hire, luckily China doesn't need your respect ey! |

1. really love the West 2. really hate China there is no middle ground for you almost all the time... even though you said that you don't like the west, you wouldn't want to criticize the west with passion. Quote:
Luckily we don't need to consider Ronin4hire seriously thanks to his flamboyant posts. Sorry for everybody in this forum but this is how I think. |

Hell no! If I had to agree with all the actions made by a country (or even person) for me to respect them, I wouldn't respect any!
I respect China for the simple reason that they ARE trying to improve (and they are doing so succesfuly). |

How are they trying to improve? Bear in mind I'm talking about the CCP... For the record I respect Chinese culture and traditions and whether or not I respect a Chinese person has nothing to do directly for being Chinese. (Of course if they're a Chinese nationalist then I would disrespect them for that)
