By support, I'm not saying that it's necessarily a good idea... after all NK's retaliation will have to be taken into account... but I believe that Japan, South Korea, the US are within their rights to carry it out.
if we missled their missile and nuclear programme then wouldnt it set off their own missles and nuclear weapons? if thats the case then s.korea would get hit too wouldnt it?

Rain is falling all around
Thunder rain and wind
A song of storms begins

Play a song, A melody
Then everybody will see
The hero of time
Has come

There will be no limited strike to the missile and nuke program... when it will automatically lead to a full-fledge war way worse than one's imagination if the NK's programs are damaged.

It's also an ignorance when most of the people here don't really understand about South Korea's public reaction and varieties of opinions about this issue.

Anyone that thinks that the North Koreans are innocent victims of US insincerity don't have their facts straight.

Appeasement of the NK regime usually results in NK breaking any promises it makes.

Certainly the circumstances are completely different...the North Korean regime is probably less concerned with expansionist goals and more concerned with ensuring it's survival....but I don't want to be accused of being alarmist when I draw parallels with Nazi appeasement. If NK has already shown a willingness to disregard the international community and go back on agreements made in good faith, then I'm wondering how this could end without violence. Of course the only other option would be to continue to contain the North Koreans indefinitely.

I would not support any type of military strike or North Korea the situation is not to that level and the civilians would be the ones to pay the heaviest price.

Same old bullshit just a different international shovel.

I agree. I don't want there to be any military conflict.
I prefer for this to be another one of those things I can look back at and giggle about in the back of my mind... But, with that said, how long will this situation with North Korea last? Will this behavior always indicate nothing more than a habitual "muscle flexing"?

By the way, if that sounded condescending, please understand that wasn't my intention...

I didn't say that North Korea is innocent. North Korea definitely has a different diplomatic mindset compare to other "free countries". And many people don't understand this.

It worked pretty well during the Roh's presidency in South Korea. North Korea only wants to be pleased from South Korea.

I like to think that before a strike occurs, the consequences of the actions of the Western coalition are contrasted against the potential threat North Korea poses particularly towards the citizens of Japan and South Korea.

I'd hardly call it a full-fledged war. While the initial loss of civilian life as a result of North Korean retaliation would be great. The war would be over in weeks. US/Japanese/South Korean military equipment is far more sophisticated than the Chinese/Russian crap the North Koreans use.

Most of the North Korean air-force and command and control will be destroyed in one day.

You really don't have any clue, do you? Over 12 million South Korean civilians will be dead or injured within 24 hours if North Korea starts a war. That is a fact.

Now tell me, do you think this is war that is worth it? If you do, you're just a miserable human being, sorry to say.

Read my post:

There are some people here who support a limited strike like Ronin4hire... but it is a grave mistake to think like that. Of course, any people who support this is automatically supporting a war unintentionally.
