ITS NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL!!!!! its not like its some kind of skin eating virus, its a flu.
Here's a small story for you.

One day, I was sitting outside in the sunny day, with a nice drink and food. I spotted a bird that had a broken wing, and a broken ankle. This bird was perched on the roof of a nearby building and he couldn't take of, or get down to the ground. To make the matter even more difficult, there was a hungry cat advancing on the bird.

Now, this bird, somehow manages to make it to the ground, while dodging the cat, and getting to the lawn. After all this hardship, the bird manages to dodge cars and cross the road, only to get his last foot caught in the grill of a sewer.

The moral of the story my friend is, that however hard you have worked to surpass something, that doesn't mean something small can't take you down.

Don't get too cocky. It's over hyped, yes, but don't throw all caution out of the window.

You deserve a third facepalm with that statement. Adaption IS evolution dufus. The way swine flu evolved from another strand of flu is the same way we humans evolved from our ancestor.

It's not like anyone is proposing that we evolved from something completely different from us. Because that's what you're implying when you use your cancer analogy.

Then based off natural selection, we should be happy that people die from disease because it should "strengthen" the species should we not?

Also, if evolution is true then we did evolve from something completely different from us. After all, if everything had the same origin. But my main problem with evolution is that if we came from monkeys, shouldn't there be much more evidence then what's currently been found. I'm talking like 100,000s of fossils showing monkey/human hybrids, not 1 or 2 that "might" be the missing link but still haven't been found.

Lastly, I just haven't seen enough evidence for myself to believe that changes at the molecular level could alter a monkey into a human by natural selection. But that's me.
