Is being shallow something wrong ? No but it's definitely not great either.

I'd love to give my wife an awesome and perfectly cut diamond if it's what she really wanted.

But most women don't ask for diamonds and rubies everyday, so in that sense its not really that shallow.

Diamonds are perfect for special occasions, but if you think buying a diamond for that is too much, then thats just...beyond cheap.

Maybe because I associate diamond with superficial I have a bad opinion about it.

I think its more of a show off thing -girls like to tell other girls "ooh look what so&so bought me" its a sort of a commitment thing for girls.
