Bass players are actually somewhat rare to find, considering most of the time bass players are usually bad. Why? Because normally there is a group of friends, and obviously the guitar is the most popular instrument aside from singing in a band. Then when there is two guitar players and no bass, the worser of the two switch to bass for the team, however I don't consider these bass players, nor am I hinting towards offending anyone. I'm just pointing this akward fact out, because it's true and it makes it hard to find legit bass players.

Trumpet is a pretty good instrument. Im best at my tuba but the trombone is just so fun to play. It makes expressing yourself so much easier.

seriously, all i do is play bass, it's the only instrument i've learned how to play.

but when i get good enough, i'll make some pretty epic basslines

Well, I don't play the bass because someone told me to or whatever. I play the bass guitar because I love it. I love how it sounds. And be able to play it is awesome. And as Yuusuke said "it's the only instrument i've learned how to play".
But I know what you mean.

Just knowing that makes you a better bass player than the ones out there that I have mentioned. Good luck finding a band if you ever plan to play in one! (it will be easy, trust me.) :P

Actually, where do you live? I would like a bass player, a drummer and keyboardist to play with once in a while. They don't even need to be good, I can take care of the singing and learn my guitar at the same time, since my guitar is the only thing that needs work right now.
