Being stuck at home due to iced roads yesterday, I watched a couple of movies. They are not exactly new, but not ancient either.

Natural City - ugh. Rehash of old themes, somewhat correlating to Appleseed, really bad direction and script. When five guys with machine guns in a space less than 8x3x5 feet can't hit the one person they are shooting at all plausibility is lost. Over 100 bullets and none hit their mark?!? There were other technical stupidities; this was just one that was repeated several times.

Infidel - Though the description seemed like it was going to be mind-numbingly inane at best, this is actually a movie I think more people should see. It's a comedy about a muslim Brit who is having a really bad time all of a sudden, but it is also a very good message about religious tolerance that is given without preaching or hitting you over the head.

Novaya Zemlya (2008) - the New Land

Year 2013. Death penalty is banned in most countries but prisons are still filled by criminals. Under international agreements, Russia offers an inhabited island located in Arctic Ocean. Now prisoners will live in harsh conditions in a polar colony.....

In theaters - The Adjustment Bureau. I didn't really like it. The ending was too predictable and could have been MUCH better.

I watched the Rainmaker on TV last night. The book was better.

Yogen(Premonition), one of classical films of Japanese-horror genre.

Strange pieces of burned newspaper warns you about future accidents and disasters. Your relatives will die. You have only minutes or even seconds to make a hard decision. What will you do?
