While I do agree that Korea became a "pawn" in the western/Russian era conflicts, I wouldn't say thats the whole case today. There are a myriad of circumstances all intertwined into the whole set up, lableing any one of those as the primary reason for how things are today, perhaps over simplifies things too much.
I understand the desire to have straight bad guys and good guys, it would make things easier. However, life tends to be far more complicated, it's why conflicts can be so messy. Korea's case is similer to a family dispute with outsiders getting involved and just makeing things a huge mess. Just haveing the "outsiders" leave could cause far more problems than it solves though, because everyone is so intertwined at this point. |

Remember Korea used to be called "the Hermit Kingdom". Yes, leave Korea alone and everybody's happy.

There has been several South Korean movies dealing with North Korea, most of them are in a neutral light, some few of them are in a very negative light.

In South Korea, North Korea is portrayed either:
1. evil 2. just another decent country, but not very friendly. Anyways, Rumsfeld link to sale of reactors to North Korea - smh.com.au Or more like the American government sold nuclear equipment to North Korea. |
