About imports, exctly..I love japanese games..but they wont run on a stock 360, so I have to mod it anyways..why not just burn it then?
When you could have spent that time doing something actually constructive instead of working on a plan to steal stuff?

Also some old Japanese games were never released in English so the ROM version playing through emulators are the only way for some people to play them.

Buying pirate copies for me has at least one severe consequence - most of consoles have protection against backup copies in order to prevent people playing the non-original versions of the titles, meaning even if you buy a game you can't just copy it and burn again to play in the case you damage the original. Unless you use a mod chip of course.

Also some companies disponibles their old games to download for very low prices, if you're using a modern console and want to play old games.
Thats true

MMM, if your going to close it after you provide your oppinion on the subject, I lose respect for that, I realize its against JF rules but placeing your input in the thread and then closing it from further discussion dosen't seem right.

Hate to tell you, but you can't respect something and steal it at the same time. You have not respect for games if you are pirating.

Thats not true at all.
I would like to start a flame war off of this but, I'm too nice for that.

I love and respect games, but in my current situation I cannot afford to buy all of them that come out that I would like own legally. I dont pirate all of my games, just until I have enough to buy real copys.

when a great game comes out, there will be fans willing to buy the actual copy. take street fighter 4 for an example. me, my brothers, family and friends were all waiting for the release. each of my brothers bought a copy, all of my friends and family had one copy in their household. we did not think twice about if we should wait for a "fake" copy to hit the internet. about any other game that is not worth waiting for i simply do not play, nor download. if it is not worth the money, it's not worth the time. next games to buy = StarCraft2 and Diablo 3

Regardless of how many pirates there are, there are always going to be little kids, parents and "honest, good-hearted" people to buy the games in mass amounts.

I'll stick to my $15 10 Packs of Blanks.

it's not about getting it "early" the time i spent waiting for it i youtubed how the japanese people are playing and looked up combo's to try later. i much rather wait for a real release than wait for my bar to hit 100% and pray it works. the problem with pirated games is that people get so much games that they get bored of them quickly. if you wait for one certain game to come out such as your favorite series, you will hang on to it longer. i don't know, i guess i rather play the same old game over and over. have your fun

This made me smile MMM. Thank you.
You have made video games seem as important and needed as cars. Good for you ^_^
