Regardless, I wasn't going for that kind of person in this thread. It's supposed to be more about history and people with large impact.

She had a large impact in Holland and on myself and she is quite a well known figure in politics.

I don't think me and Ronin are anti-Islam. Well, speaking for myself, I'm just anti-"clitorectamy", and things of the sort.

I actually dislike all major religions, it's just, in the west, with western values, it's easy to dislike Islam more.

You consider yourself seperate from massive majorities of Islam, Noodle, in that you don't approve of mutilation, stoning, and even enforced dress on women. Why is that?

Isn't a hero someone you look up to? Do they need to be famous? Most heros are everyday people.

Yes. But I made this thread so we could talk about history and well known historical figures.

Well one post said their parents were and I admire that. And Ronin's had a book written about her and others knew her, so I was just wondering what defines a hero to others. Some people chose mass murders, while others made more logical (in my mind) choices. I can understand warriors killing in battles as being heros, but genocide?
Anyone who chose a "mass murderer" please change our way of thinking as to why you chose them. Maybe there is a reason some of us don't see it.
