What exactly is eye glue? Like compared to super glue, regular paper glue, etc. That sounds like it could possibly be painful whatever it is.

It gives the whole double eyelid impression.
It's not painful, I know a few girls that use this technique.

it looks painful, but it isn't. but it just looks horrifying when they do it, they stick a Y shaped fork in the lid to create the fold.

an easier way is to just stick the tape on the upper part

I think it's just a cultural retardation picked up in modern times in this new era of "want". Not much different than the whole plastic boobs thing.

If it's not broken then don't fix it.

Personally, if someone told me something about my race made me look ugly, I'd tell them to get fuck** (it kinda paints the whole inferiority thing, given all the problems Asians complain about are things that whites don't have; which I'd have issues with if I was Asian). But white men don't really have much issues about their self. Not black. Big penis. Lots of chest hair. Some guys do feel bad when they're a bit short, but, yet a holiday to Indonesia and they'll come out feeling like a giant.

From dark skin to funny looking eyes; Asians can sometimes paint some pretty insecure pictures of themselves... and I thought we were the Nazis?

So my next question, for either of you, is does it cause any problems or difficulties with blinking or closing your eyes when you have the glue or tape on? How do you get the glue off? Is there a special solvent you have to use or does it just come off with soap and water? Does it hurt to remove the tape or is there a special way of removing it?

Makeup remover usually does the trick. and the tape can easily be peeled off.

It sounds like such a hassle but I think make-up in general is a hassle and don't get how people can spend hours putting it on. Hearing all of that reminds me of those fake eyelashes that some girls put on. It sounds like it's really similar to doing that.

OMG, NO!!!! I can 't believe I am actually in total agreement with Tenchu on something.

As for the tape, I would imagine its something you could get used to eventually. But when I came to a bit early after surgery once to find my eyes taped shut it was not comfortable. Removing the tape didn't hurt, but I was very aware of my eyelids being sticky in the fold for a while.

Aside from the fact that I find almond shaped eyes beautiful, I cannot imagine going to that extreme for something that was not physically impairing my eyesight.

I wonder if it's a combination of western influence and the concept of "eyes being the window to the soul" type thing?

Aside from that I think people, and women in particular, have allways had "issues" about thier appearance.
