We are always overly critical of the president if we did not vote for him. How many i voted for kerry bumper stickers did you see?
Obama has done some things that dont seem to make sense. Like telling the president of mexico the violence in their contry was the u.s.'s fault or praising jimmy carters visit to Gaza where he sided with terrorist Hamas against isreal. No president is perfect sorry to say it.

It's just a vacation. That's it. Let the people say what they want.

And as the article says, even though this is a vacation with his family, he was probably making phone calls to the Senate Finance Committee regarding healthcare reform.

A video the Obama campaign had nothing to do with, by the way.

How about we move away from (re)criticizing Obama's election campaign and move back to the topic at hand?

In school speech, Obama says education key to country's future - CNN.com

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich told "Fox News Sunday" that Obama's speech is a good idea if the message is a positive one about completing school.

"If that's what it is, then it is good to have the president of the United States say to young people across America, 'Stay in school, study, and do your homework,' " Gingrich said.

I have seen supposed text from his speech. Im not entirely sure if it is legit. Where I saw it didn't have a link to an official site so it could be entirely false. But I will say, it sounded pretty legit and had the tone of an Obama speech. If this is the real speech he will be giving, it is very harmless. Its mostly about stating in school and getting an education so in the future you can help the US. He wants everyone to get a good education so when they are older they are able to make and impact on the future state of the United States.

Oh I will say that I do not think this is a bad idea whatsoever. I think it is good that he is trying to make a difference by inspiring students to do better. Thats what everyone should want. They are our future, I hope they are as well educated as possible, so I can feel comfortable when Im older. While things like health care are very important, I dont think he should have to spend every waking moment on it. If he takes some time to write a speech, and then spend 10 minutes talking to the kids, I don't see where this is a problem.

I don't think the version they finally released was what he would have said had there been no uproar. He had to sanitize it, just like the homework assignment.
