It's great to have a hobby you can indulge in 8+ hours a day, but it would be a real shame to be playing SF when you could be working on getting into college or a marketable skill that you can use to make money. And keep in mind you are sacrificing sleep to play SF as a full-time job.[/quote]

SF can make me money, I just need to put time into it.

It's not like I wont have time to study.

I am not saying don't play SF. I am saying sacrificing sleep for SF is so unhealthy it is dangerous. I will ask again, have you consulted with a doctor before starting this dramatic change in lifestyle?

People who play video games professionally and still have a decent lifestyle are more exceptions than the rule.

I think arguing any further is a lost cause. We all know what it's like to be a teenager and have your mind set on doing something the rest of the world recognizes are asinine. It's part of the rebellious stage! Let him do it, and worse comes to worst he realizes it's a horrible idea and apologizes, or he winds up in the hospital and we don't hear about it again anyway.

As 16 going on 17 you should be getting eight to nine hours of sleep a day. This system is especially not advised for teenagers.

To anything, SF, school, working out, so many things can get better if this plan works out.
