Father's Taking Daughters on dates

I go on dates with my mom , sometimes go on a date with my dad here in the US and in no way shape or form are they like a sick fantasy, its just bonding for us...

Exactly.

My mom and I go out once a month and do something together, shopping, dinner, a movie, theater, whatever. Same with my father, once a month we go out and do something.

Usually it involves a mutual interest like taking a class together or seeing a movie we both want to see. Its a way for us to understand each other and gives us time to talk.

I suspect it's like those old time father /daughter Banquets and the like they used to have in the 50's.

I have to admit that I did find it a little odd when I watched the programme.

The average age of daughters was between 16-21.

The girls often wore mini skirts and apparantly the father's enjoyed the fantasy of being on a real date, or so the programme claimed.

It just goes to show that "anything" is possible in Japan.

Are you saying there was something more than an innocent bonding time between the father and the daughter?

But I think it's a bonding thing, just like everyone before me :P My dad and me have these "dates" as well but I never call them that haha.

I would say if it is nothing but innocent bonding time then that TV show is full of baloney. Wearing a mini-skirt does not equal wanting to have sex with your father.
