I didn't say the customer is always right

Maybe it is just "kids having fun at a drive-thru" but drive-thrus aren't places to have fun and play jokes, they are places to order food.

You can say the worker and her manager overreacted, but they aren't the ones who initiated the joke, the kids are.

Just because it isn't a big deal doesn't make it right.
MMM, all they did was rap a F***ING order and you're saying that they need to find other fun things. That sounds stupid. Kawatta is right. All they did was rap, and they get cited for something like that? That's just stupid. People need to get a break. It's not like they vandalized the property or attacked anyone. What has society come to these days, I wonder??

And how was this person to know there wasn't more to this prank? Drive-thru pranks have come to be a scary ordeal for people who work them. There are people who go through the windows to rob places, there are people who throw stuff at the workers, some of it being harmful. Sure, it may seem like only a few incidents were bad, but those few idiots ruined it for those that would just like to play a harmless prank. It would be like trying to look all dark and scary by wearing a trench coat to highschool. There are somethings you just can't do anymore and call it harmless fun.

OK, Yukisuke, so you are going to be the one that says that people have a right to play around and make pranks at the drive-thru line?

Did they make an order? Did they pay for their order?

"People need to get a break." Those are your words. So you are saying a drive-thru-line is the same as a public park or a amusement ride. Do as you will. Is this what you endorse?

You know, when you're shoving so many assumptions down my throat, it's hard to defend my opinions. Okay, lets nip this in the bud right now. 1: I don't think they had time to pay for their order since they got hauled off to jail. 2: They rapped thier order. That's why they got cited and couldn't pay for their order. 3: Yes, people need to get a break, but I didn't mean that they should to lose all of their street manners and act like buttholes anywhere they went. DUH!! I don't endorse the "do what you want" attitude for anyone because then people are gonna do practically anything. MMM, they rapped an order. For society to just cite them for that is just stupid. I thought that you would be on my side. Why aren't you??

No, they rapped their order, refused to move through the line - and then ran off. They were cited (not arrested, mind you. No jail involved, just a citation) LATER in a totally different location after the store reported their license plate number to the police.

Again, they rapped their order, took a bunch of time doing it - then left without paying. Citation is later. I`m sure they had a good laugh and thought they would never get in trouble.

I`m not MMM, but I am fairly sure I share his opinion.

We all agree that what they did was not right, yes? If something like this is not right, then it is wrong. Even if it wasn`t that big of a deal, it is still not right. There are tons of things that aren`t really that big of a deal but which are still wrong.
Normally, when someone does something wrong, there is some kind of punishment involved.

I fail to see how there should be NO punishment even though they did something wrong. I think there is a lot of confusion about the level of punishment they received, which is MAYBE the cause of the shock being shown... But still. They were given a citation, which is a minor fine, ranking somewhere below a parking ticket and somewhere above a verbal warning. No arrests, no jail, etc. This is the same level as having a noisy party and having the police give you a citation for disturbing the peace by keeping people up with the music. It isn`t a death sentence.
They got a minor but official punishment for a minor, but still illegal, action.

If anyone is trying to find me… Tamyuun on Instagram is probably the easiest.

This is a forum of written words. You have all the time you want to collect your thoughts and put together your response. What I wrote was four days ago. I didn't stuff anything down your throat.

Nobody went to jail. They took off, and were later pulled over and cited. Big difference.

They left. Read the article.

Why would I be on your side for people acting like a-holes to drive-thru workers?

Thank you for giving me the rundown on the situation Nyororin. I made a mistake. My bad. But that doesn't mean that society should do things like this all because they rapped their order. It's a harmless joke.

They weren't acting like a-holes. It was just a joke. A VERY harmless one at that. They're just acting like kids their age. That's what teens do. Let them enjoy their youthfulness for however long they'll have it.

What they did was right, or it was wrong. Which was it?
