This rapping order thing was just so stupid to me. All they did was rap their order and they had a fit about it. It's not like they held them up at gunpoint and demanded it. They were just having some fun. That's what teens do. People just don't know how to have fun anymore.

Jeez MMM youv'e take over this thread giving light to the stupidity on 2 parts of society in america, Teens having thier own fun at a drive through, and the new "Oh my god, im a victim! someone do something immediatly!!" part of society.
Going back to the prank itself, its tottaly meaningless, just kids enjoying life, no one was threatened, no one attacked, no one was even swore at and furthermore, THEY LEFT! Its not like they took the next step into harrasment and drove up and continued the rap about the cost and "where they food at!" it was a quick rap and poof, gone. Now the worker claims all this b.s. in order to have someone do something to those kids, cuz how dare they mess with her while shes trying to speedily serve burgers! Its not like she got post tramautic stress disorder all of the sudden from a quick (rather well done) rhyme. The new trend in America it seems, is that if anyone does aanything (especially in speech) that makes anyone even slightly uncomfortable or possibly offended, BIG consequences need to be given to set an example make sure they "learn!". Its a bunch of garbage. And as for the question u posed to Darksyn about "What is something that is unnecessary and stupid, and isn't wrong AND doesn't affect another person or the running of a business?" How about a bad joke...its stupid no because one laughs, its unessesary because it doesnt add anything and it definatly doesnt affect the other person (well, depending on the joke...but that leads into a whoole other issue about this country right now) This prank happens to be a sort of bad joke. Im usually with you on most of your posts, but ur a bit too stiff on this one with your "social contract bla bla" & "rules are rules and thats THAT! position. Ease off, kids are kids Im gonna go home check out this vid now. |

I am not saying there should be big consequences for what they did, (I don't think I said there should be any consequences) all I am saying is what they did wasn't right.
Maybe it is just "kids having fun at a drive-thru" but drive-thrus aren't places to have fun and play jokes, they are places to order food. You can say the worker and her manager overreacted, but they aren't the ones who initiated the joke, the kids are. Just because it isn't a big deal doesn't make it right. |

The reaction to it is stupid, and that's an understatement, but those kids wasted peoples' time. Imagine what it's like to push the buttons in the cash register, have it come up on the screen the rest of the employees see, have everything prepared for these people, and then *POOF!!!* they're gone.
I don't much care to watch the video, because they are doing something that's already been done, but even if the employee didn't have anything ready yet, imagine how YOU would react after going through the effort of making the food for these idiots for them to just leave and waste time and product. |
