Since then, german anime was a no-go. never again!xDD And then I started to admire japanese. The sound of japanese..everything. 4years ago I got to know a japanese girl. She was in my new class and started to teach me hiragana and some easy sentences. She flew back to japan and we are still mailing but she has muuch school-work to do.2years ago I started listening to japanese music and now I can'T stop anymore. Only jROCK is my realy musicxD... Well...that's it I think.
Why do you want to go to japan: umm..because...well.. I love japanese...the japanese language..the sound of the japanese language, japan...E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G...well..and I want to meet my fav. band LIVE.
BUCK-TICK..I want to go on a concert. I want to go to Kyoto and watch the old city with the old shrines...and much, much more.

Gender: Male
Coming to you from: USA
First Breath: December 11, 1991
Favorite Color: Blue
Hobbies: Drawing, reading, watching anime, meditating(I find it peaceful.), and trying to assist others.
Intentions: I've wanted to know more of the Japanese culture, and how it differs from American culture. I was first introduced to a part of japanese culture as a child through anime, then manga, and eventually I was old enough to use the internet. So, once this happened I began to look up art styles from Japanese artists(regular art, anime/manga style, and much more) I found some of the things that I discovered beautiful. I think it would be great though to see great art with my own eyes outside of a pc screen(which is one of the reasons why I want to go to Japan.) I find Japan to be very interesting. I also wish to become a mangaka(I love to draw).

Name Kai (Personally, I just like the name)
Gender Female
Coming to you from U.S.A
First breath November 23rd, 1985 (Or so the doctors say)
Intentions and whatnot Well, as everyone else has stated, my first interest in Japan started from Anime. I think my very first Anime was Ranma 1/2. (I was eight at the time and I can't really remember) So, ever since then, my fascination with Japan grew. Now, I have strayed off from Anime, but I still read Manga as much as I can. My current favorite Manga is Pandoras Heart, if I have more time (and more money), I'd invest in a whole library of Manga. XD Well! I'm not only interested in Manga, I am also interested in Visual Kei and J-Rock. I am not a die hard fangirl, but I love listening to the music. Its the only kind of music I listen to. (Lmao, and I don't even understand Japanese... for the time being.)

I am sure people can agree with me when I say: People think that after a certain age, you'll "grow out" of the "phase". This phase can be either cosplaying, watching Anime and reading Manga religiously, or just being involved in the Japanese culture altogether. However, I've actually tried and I see myself crawling back.

Why do you want to go to Japan I would like to experience the culture firsthand. Not for the Anime, but for its enriched culture and their unique style of living. It would be fun! I would like to see J-rock bands in their natural territory(lmao), and learn about more bands I don't know about. (Believe me, there's a lot). Also, I would love to be a translator, which would mean that I would have to go there sometime. XD

Okay, I'm done with the lengthy post. x_x

Name; Victoria, but please... call me Noka. ^^
Gender; Female
Coming to you from; USA
First Breath; Feb 25, 1993
Intentions and whatnot; I came here because I love the Japanese culture and enjoy conversing about it with other fans. Originally I was just an anime fan, manga collecting and what not. But I started getting into the culture, especially the TV and music. I love joining forums too and I just so happened to stumble upon this one. I hope we can get along.

Hobbies/Interests; Anime, Japan (no duh~), Drawing, Singing, Sleeping, Eating (I am a glutton.. X3; )

Why do you want to go to Japan; Why do I not? I can't wait to go start a career there, possibly a regular manga artist, or an English teacher for younger grades. But of course I plan on having some fun, relaxation, and sight-seeing there first!

why do you want to go to japan: I've been crazy over Japan since I was born, I guess... lolz! When I was a little, I wore my yukatta everyday, wherever I go. I'm just a total japanese wannabe. I love the food, the language, the culture, cosplay, anime, manga, songs, the people, and much more. I've never been to Japan, but I hope someday I'll get the chance to finally visit Japan. Before I get to that, first...I really want to learn to speak japanese.

See ya around

Intentions and whatnot: I found this forum in a google search and found lots of useful information. I've been watching anime for about 20 years and my love of Japanese culture has stemmed from there. Hopefully I can use this forum to help people and be helped by others...I can certainly try to help anyone who wishes to learn Japanese language.
Hobbies/Interests: Japanese language/culture, cycling, keep-fit, playing poker, reading, film, cooking, PC gaming.
Why do you want to go to Japan: I'd like to see as much of the country as possible in 1 visit, then return as many times as possible to concentrate on different areas of the country. I'm going next year (2010)... I've been studying the language for 4 years, I've been saving money for a year and now I'm just absorbing information to make my trip as smooth as possible. Basically, I just want to experience as much of the country and culture as I can.

Intentions and whatnot: Trying to get more socially involved. I'd like to meet some friends in Osaka and the rest of Japan! I also like discussing Japanese topics such as modern societal issues, language, culture, and so on. If anybody wants to chat, feel free to PM me!

Hobbies/Interests: Art, Martial Arts, Cooking, Music, Language, Teaching, Guitar, Exercising, etc.

Whyare you in Japan: I studied abroad here for a year not so long ago, and really fell in love with the place. I've never been a "Japanophile", though I did like anime back in high school, I enjoy reading manga from time to time (it's great practice!), and I do love playing video games when I have time. When I came to Japan, however, very little of this mattered. I didn't watch anime, I only read one manga series in weekly Jump, and I played a few DS games, but little more than that. It was really all about living in the culture and society, improving at the language, and integrating into a fascinating and truly beautiful society. This country has so much history, and so much to offer.

But besides that, I've been a graphic/digital designer for about 6 years now, and my goal is to be doing that in Osaka by this time next year. Currently I'm a teacher of Engrish, but hey, that's how nearly everybody gets in. I do enjoy teaching quite a bit. I think it's a crying shame that every person in this country has at least 10 years of English language education under their belt and not a one of them can speak it (I blame the Ministry of Education but I won't get on that soap box right now), and I resolved to set out to do something about it, if even on a small scale.
I think that should about do it
