How could you go to Japan and not do a low-bow (especially to the emperor)?

This is just ridiculous right-wing attempt to start a damn race war (along with the Kanye West/Taylor swift thing )

I find it quite interesting how the reaction is completely different in Japan - with his visit seen as incredibly great, the bow to the emperor the cherry on top. Here it is being brought up in the news as a sign that he actually did some research before coming to Japan.

If anyone is trying to find me… Tamyuun on Instagram is probably the easiest.

It seems as though the saying goes, "If you can't say something negative, don't say anything at all" in American news.

So America and England is the top of your list in your book overall, or just in comparison to Japan?

Yes, they have a history. But bringing it up as an excuse is disrespectful in itself.
I didn't say anything of the sort and neither did the article from foxnews. And an excuse for what; saying that Americans and the Brittish are Arrogant and have a superiority complex?

The point is this is just a luxury the leaders of the free world do not have. That is why there are rules of protocol, which he continues to violate. He is there are the president of the US and the leader of the free world (if that title has any meaning anymore), not as American visitor Obama and should be neutral in his representation of the American people.

Read the full article about why this is even news:
Obama Draws Fire for Bow to Japanese Emperor - FOXNews.com

"When you're representing the United States of America, everything speaks ... on behalf of our country," "It's a visual. It shows more of a subservient look."

"She said Obama was clearly trying to show respect, but that the royal couple would not expect such a gesture from a Western leader. Eyring, who reviewed the video of the encounter, said they seemed a "bit uncomfortable" watching Obama bow. "

"Former President Clinton got slammed for coming close to bowing to the Japanese emperor in 1994. The New York Times ridiculed him, noting, "The image on the South Lawn was indelible: an ob-sequent President, and the Emperor of Japan." But the paper wrote that the "thou need not bow" standard in State Department protocol has been constant since the country's founding."

the US must be very bored at the moment... Seriously? Making such a big fuss about a bow? What's the news gonna say the day he kisses a North African leader on the cheeks? That Obama is gay?

Clint, are you making this argument because you think it, or are playing devil's advocate?

I don't need to read the article to see why it is news, all I need to see is the words "FOX News".

You mean "crazy" like liberal democrats did for EIGHT years while Bush was president. That kind of crazy? You liberals are funny people.
