"A scientist told The Times of London he felt pressure to sign. "The Met Office is a major employer of scientists and has long had a policy of only appointing and working with those who subscribe to their views on man-made global warming," he said."

Yes 1700, most under pressure as the Times of London quoted, signed. Compare that to the 31,486 with 9029 holding PhDs of American scientists signing the Global Warming Petition -

to say they have serious doubts about the validity of climate change and the link with climate change and CO2.

That is like 18:1. Anyway I wonder how many of the 1700 are receiving grants to prove the climate change argument.

You may be right that nothing will really change at Copenhagen. That event isn't designed for opposed thinking.

And don't tell Greenland that global warming is a farce. Their economy is rapidly changing thanks to the melting glaciers exposing ore available for mining. Ore never exposed in history is now supposedly available and a lot is being invested in growing businesses.

But surely then, countries should be getting warmed, instead of getting colder each year, right? Something sounds fishy.

No one is denying that Global Warming isn't happening, but it's not man made, nor is the world heating up at speeds that the propaganda likes to state it is.

Global warming is a cycle. The world heats up and cools down as a cycle.

I don't recall anyone saying global warming "isn't" happening. The debate is whether man is causing it or nature. I read a very interesting article from a climatologist that used to work for nasa. His theory for global warming by nature was more than interesting.

True. The question is, is it man made or just the ever changing planet weather. I think much of US could use some of that global warming with record cooling temperatures. I guess I should just refer to it as Man-made climate change with posting about this.

But anyway, that is great for Greenland. Excellent post.

If it isn't effecting the world, why should billions of dollars and millions of pounds be spent on something that won't make a difference?

but wouldn't it be better to try and fail than to not try at all? some people are concerned but most people think it's stupid until the day comes when we look at it and wonder why we didn't do anything about it. anyways it's just me and my opinion i wouldn't worry about it much.

That's the thing though, it's not man made, so whatever we do, will be for nothing

In this recession, I'd rather all that money go to a more important place.
