Drama, lulz, flame wars... it's become something I visit everyday now.

Most of the time, its a source of topics to think more about and challenge my perspective.

Of course there are the moments when the real challenge to remain calm, rational and controlled in my response. And I try not to grind my teeth too much with the endless new topics started by lazy new visitors ...... especially the 1000th or more "Friend" thread! But compared to my other forum hangout (AsiasFinest) this place is the center of sane, respectful discourse all the time.

Best of all though is a good friendship with someone not too far away that is every bit as crazy as myself; and a few nice aquaintances a bit too far away for regular visits.

Only an open mind and open heart can be filled with life.

Well, even though I haven't posted here in awhile, this forum has given me lots.
I've made so many amazing friends[<3], learned so much more about Japan, and discovered great new music.
Despite the occasional fighting in threads, this is overall a very kind forum. I've joined many other forums, and I can never seem to find one with people as great as people at Japan Forum.

nowdays it feels like us older lot are the kids from season 1, venturing from time to time back to the digital world but to regain some old nostalgia.. but as such it has changed.. again, i know not how it has, but the atmosphere is almost too new for my blood... but i will remain on for the few moments i will get to talk to an old member from ages past... such is the case with this thread...

god i love and hate nostalgia... it always makes me feel so sad, probably because of the prospect that things will never be like that again
Do I count as a season one kid? I've been here since 2007. ;o I
ve been pretty much forgotten, though, since I just wander around.

JF has given me the chance to talk about certain situations in the world as well as share my opinions with like-minded individuals. It has also given me the chance to have healthy debates with the other members on the forum. I love JF!! I hope that this forum stays up for a long time. Maybe we'll have a conference so that we can see each from behind our avatars. I hope.

Hehe Im a really old member here Been around since oohh...2004ish? =] I still remember my very first account on here before this one Oh those were the days! Fighting with Ash (if anyone here remembers him) was fun, god I hated him but now I think back on it and he was pretty decent.
I origionaly came here out of stumbling upon it. I was bored and one day and randomly typed into the URL box "Japan" and this website came up, and I was interested because I was so amazed about japan at the time. It gave me a great insite on japanses culture and I met some pretty cool people here.
I have great friends because of it and still those ties are held pretty strong.
Dont think I forgot about you little brother!! You will always be my forgotenmemory kid brother
Japanforum has let me be open to people and Ive gotten to impress those who cared with my writing skills and inspired people to share theirs.
I will admit though I miss Kudo and the origional gang of Japanforum that I came to know and love, but we are all japanforum palls to the end.

the real truth is often the one we dont want to hear
i am the tears that fall, you are the blood on my skin, we are mingled forever again, here we stand, hand in hand, but ill let go when my time has come, time for u to fly alone
