*seconds the idea that new rules would be created*

Anarchy really isn't a society. So the absence of rules is a temporary situation at best. Also, I would wonder why the removal of established rules and processes was thought a good idea in the first place. Perhaps those who say there are no rules are using them as a means to institute new rules they themselves have crafted to better fit the current situations they see. With them in the unassailable position of power.

Lack of rules does not mean the absence of rules.

*also seconds the sentiment that this entire thread is source material for a school project, with the possible side purpose of a bored forumgoer wishing to use the forum to amuse themselves*

Fortunately, there is one woman in this world who can control me.

Unfortunately for you, she is not here.

I would either switch schools or drop out all together.

If there are no rules, there wouldn't be a reason for me to be there. There are no rules for grading, so I could easily pass all my classes and graduate. But everyone else would be in chaos. Thus, I'd leave. I can't deal with chaotic people.

Aw, I thought SOMEONE might do something crazy . . .XD

TIS IS NOT FOR SCHOOL! This was actually just something a book inspired me to ask.

Admittingly though, I might simply go on Youtube, or just see what others are doing and join in.

On the bright side, this proves you are some very motivated people!

-Cyber pat on your backs-

My Life Sucks- The kids I babysit have drooled, ripped or drawn on all of the cards and put the cars with the little people in the microwave!

I have no Friends- The cats have scratched and destroyed all of the DVDs!

I always owe someone- In fact I put two os in it!

I always ruin my clothes with Bleach!- The show is so dom suspensful I spill my grape soda on them!

But . . .I'll live.

Let nature take its course.

Too many people spend money they haven't earned, to buy things they don't want, to impress people they don't like.

For further reading, see: Lord of the Flies >_>. We all know how well that turned out. Or, the simpsons parody of that book.

Well, even if there are no rules at the school, I would still have other rules and norms I would follow. Even if it suddenly became allowed to hit people or ditch shool, it would still feel wrong because of the norms I have grown up with, and I would know that it had consequences - for example if I ditched shool, I would get poor grades, etc. It would have been different if I was in 4th grade or something, because then I wouldn't see the consequences of what I was doing.

This thread idea is to answer the question "What would REALLY happen if there were no rules"
We would party for a day or two and then start making our own rules. Just human nature.

I would seek cover in my dorm room and probably watch the chaos through the windows.

... I'm not a very exciting person. D|
