I signed up for this forum through an ad in Shojo Beat. I don't see any ads for JF in Shonen Jump. I used to come here everyday when I signed up of course, but i'm just trying to get a life outside the interwebz. I'm not getting rid of it oh no. I'm just trying to learn about Japanese culture through other means as well.

Probably because some members make enjoying the forums very hard. I do browse through new threads but do not post as frequently as i use too and i know others as well who are like that. I really only have a problem with 3 members. If it causes you more headache than pleasure to visit a forum obviously you wont do as much if at all.

I am here mostly to prevent the spread of misinformation more than anything else.

Unlike other Japan related forums, this one seems to be 99% people who would like to come to Japan but are years from actually doing it. This is an atmosphere conducive to the propagation of sketchy information. So, I stick around.
