There are many festivals in Japan and around the world that I would like to see but what do you guys think about this one?

Not for me.

Too many people spend money they haven't earned, to buy things they don't want, to impress people they don't like.

Seems perfectly fine to me.
sexuality/the human anatomy isn't something considered uncouth or held in embarrassment/reserve in some countries. It's just a cultural thing.

The only thing that bothers me about this is that, I could be wrong here but, I've never heard of them having a festival celebrating the female anatomy. >.>
Freud would have a field day on this one if he were still alive. :P

After living under the sexually oppressive rule of the right wingers for most of my life, this is the type of stuff about Japan that makes my day.

It would be awkward for me, but I'd probably go if I was asked to.
I'd just do my best to avoid/ignore the giant penis statue(s).

It depends on the reason for the festival. I'd probably go, as its part of Japanese culture. But it could easily be a celebration of fertility

Not really my cup of tea. Though I do think Americans celebrate testosterone..they call it the NFL.

I'm conservative not repressive, though we can be prudish and boreing.
