I didn't notice a poll, so it is very hard to vote 'YES, PLEASE'. Though due to my connection, and it's rather unspectacular speed, could you at least explain to those us on a 'backwards' connections, what exactly 'Ventrilo' is?
From the impression it gives me, is that is a VOIP program. Is this true, or is there more to it? |

Hi guys,
I recently opened up a thread where I said we should get a Ventrilo server. Thankfully, Akihiko said she would host the server. Ventrilo is a Voice Chat program where you can host multiple chat channels on one server. Here is How to get onto the ventrilo server and how to set it up. Ventrilo - Download - Go to this link to download. Install and then Open: Where it says username on the right click the arrow. Simply put in the Username you want to have and click ok. SERVER INFO: To get onto the server. Click the arrow to the right of server. In name type in JapanForum or whatever you want to call it. In Hostname or Ip : 24.11.28.55 Leave the rest blank click ok and connect. HOW TO SETUP: To start talking you need a microphone of course. Click on Setup Make sure the first three boxes are filled in. Then There is going to be a Hotkey box. Click on the hotkey box and put in what you want your hotkey to be. Your hotkey is what you press to talk. AND VOILA! Hope this becomes a sticky! |
