Are you sure "racist" is the word they used? Race and racism have nothing to do with being British or American. But where are you getting the information that 75% of the writers are British? Writers for the latest season of the Simpsons (s21) Seth Rogan - Canada Evan Goldburg - Canada Matt Selman - USA Carolyn Omine - USA Daniel Chun - USA Tim Long - Canada Jeff Westbrook - ? Kevin Curran - USA Don Payne - USA John Frink - USA Stephanie Gillis - USA Al Jean - USA Bill Odenkirk - USA Rob LaZebnik - USA Billy Kimball - USA Ian Maxtone-Graham - USA Brian Kelley - USA Michael Price - USA Matt Warburton - USA Dan Greaney - USA I am starting to see why the American guy might have been offended. There was not one British writer on the Simpson's staff. |

In my view, Scottish comedy is the best. Maybe I'm being biased, but Scottish comedy makes me properly laugh, whereas other comedy's, I'll think "That funny" then have a wee chuckle at it, although that Japanese game show/comedy where the contestants had to try not to laugh, or they get spanked, I thought that was properly funny.
An Cafe, Vidoll, Versailles, Dir En Grey, Deathgaze, the GazettE, alice nine., UVERworld, Kiryu , YUI, AKB48, Buono!, Berryz Koubou, C-ute, S/mileage, Morning Musume, Zoro, Lolita23Q, Visual Kei, Oshare Kei, J-Rock, J-Pop, Idol groups FTW (≧∀≦) |

There are all kinds of foreign language channels (Telemundo, TV Japan, etc.) as well as BBC America which has many of the shows that would appear in the UK. Top Gear, etc. On NPB they show BBC News and many older shows from the UK like Faulty Towers, Masterpiece Theater, etc.
