hahaha woops! sorry the thing i type with just does it for me based on how i type it. clearly it failed miserably. and why wouldnt i use arigatou there? could use some tips so i dont sound stupid

ha, even tho it's pronounced more like wa. It's also 'ha' when you say 'watashi wa', 'anata wa', etc.

research about the hiragana "ha" and "wa"

wa is just pronounced as it looks like.
"ha" can be pronounced "wa" and "ha" depending on how it is used.

"ha" as particle is pronounced "wa" and vise versa.
