It's definitely not about two skinny girls fighting over the main role in the play. But I really can't tell you much more cause I don't wanna spoil it for ya.

Here's the trailer.

I think the problem Inception has is that it is Matrix-like.... The genre isn't interesting for everyone, therefore it doesn't have mass appeal....

I don't think Inception has much of a chance, it would be quite an upset if it did win, especially as Christopher Nolan wasn't nominated for director.

True.

The movie that wins Best Picture usually wins Best Director. It's only logical. A badly-directed movie won't stand a chance at Best Picture. If a movie is really good enough to win Best Picture it's because of how the director filmed it, so it's only fair it gets both awards. And since we're on the subject I'll just throw in something I've been wanting to say for a while... AVATAR SHOULD HAVE WON EVERY FREAKING CATEGORY IT HAD A NOMINATION FOR. Cause... honestly, it was freaking awsome and deserved no less. I'd like to see any of the other nominees from last year attempting to direct a movie like AVATAR the way James Cameron did it... psh. To me he was the true winner.

Here I cant agree sorry.

The story was mediocre at best and ive seen better (Dances with wolves)

Damn I wanted to make a list but that movie was so fogetable I only have 2 other points.

- The FX were simply amazing but after 20 mins im afraid it needed more than fx alone.

- I almost felt the need to check my body for bruises after being bludgeoned with so many views after the movie

Un-obtainium it was not subtle.

Im sorry but in my eyes James Cameron's masterpiece remains Aliens

Aliens (1986) - IMDb

But I think movies like Beutey and the beast are masterpieces so I am not really one to ask

It's not the special effects in it that make AVATAR a masterpiece worthy of awards. If it were so it would have definitely won everything.

In my eyes James Cameron is (one of) the greatest director(s) ever. There's not one movie he's made that I haven't watched at least 10 times. 'Cept for AVATAR, cause I've only had it on DVD since Xmas and I've only had time to watch it twice. Terminator 2 and Titanic... I'd say over 25.

Anyone seen 127 Hours yet???
