From now on I expect all generalizations to be automatic thread closing moves. It's funny how immigrant bashing was tolerated but America bashing wasn't.

All the Americans I have met have been lovely, friendly, and engaged in world issues, more so than here. So my opinion really doesn't come from a mass generalistion and instead my own experience.

Well it was tolerated.

I found statements from Sangetsu and Ryozorian regarding immigrants no more objectionable than anyone elses regarding America.

Maybe you should have a mod meeting with your sensitive American mod friend MMM.

True.. it was more like "immigrant cultures are inferior to ours" (paraphrasing Sangetsu here).

I suppose the message is, the more vague you are about your bashing the more acceptable it is.

american bashing is like russian bashing while americans make fun of russian accents and "in soviet russia..." and how everything is primitive, rest of the world makes fun of the ridiculous lack of knowledge about the world that average americans has.
