wow its a pretty good computer you got there...hmm to see the applications just open taskmanager..right click on taskbar choose taskmanager or ctrl+shit+ esc

and go to the process tab..see how many processes you have,if you have something over 75..then you have close few unnecessary ones..if possible take a screenshot of you processes and post it here and i'll have a look
