now I'm having this bad premonition for people in LA. I've heard that more than million sardines were trapped on Redond beach. We had 50 whales trapped here in Japan about a week ago. I wanna believe those sardines a'int got nothing to do with th earthquake. but please be careful.

My mother has raised a scary thought. Say the nuclear reactor leaked,
wouldn't that affect the whole world?

I'm so worried about certain people. I'm glad to see some people from the forum OK. Stay strong Japan. I'm very worried about you.

I really hope the predicted and dreaded Tokai Earthquake does not decide to hit now. (for those who do not know the one they have been predicting that is supposed to devastate Tokyo and Shizuoka).

As far as I know they were sent about 30 minutes after the first quake hit. Saw several CH47 and other helicopteres flying north, they were outlined in the sky pretty well by the big fire at the refinery.

The pictres this morning are pretty incredible, there is devastation everywhere. Seawalls were knocked down in many coastal towns and several of these remai flooded. Many people are on the rooftops waving flags, and I can see one sign which says "help" in English.

I had been scheduled to teach a few classes, but my school's director called after 1am to tell me that classes were canceled, duh.
