Do you have any information about where people can donate and how? I'd really like to donate too and help people in any way that I can, but I haven't found anywhere to do so.

Do you have Facebook? If so, you can donate through the Red Cross on there:

Login | Facebook

You can also donate $10 via text message by texting "REDCROSS" to 90999.

See this thread I created to help people decide which charity to donate to.

Thank you both, I'll check out the links at once, although I'll probably do the text option.

They say that for those Amerians who wish to donate, contact American Red Cross as they are working directly with Japan's Red Cross. American military has flown several missions so far, however they are letting Japan's military lead because they don't want to act too hastily or appear to be acting with out reguard to Japan's needs/wishes.

As to comments about Peal Harbor and whatever. You'll allways have that, just have to ignore such things. Afterall, some folks in Japan won't forgive the firebombings and the like from WW2 either. Some folks just can't let go of things. Getting mad at them over it won't help fix things in Japan and won't change thier opion anyway.

It's not how the majority of folks in either country feel about the other.

Hi The one you quoted, I wasn't aware of before, so I've added that to the list on the thread. Thank you.

The reactor core is built differently than the Russian one was, even if it had a complete meltdown it wouldn't contaminate nearly as badly as the Russian one did. The Russian meltdown was worse than anyone could describe..people still can't live near there.
