I'm getting that kind of grief from a user on this forum. The ever populous, masaegu. A simple "thats wrong. This is the correct way..." would have done the job, and I would've thanked him for correcting me. But instead you get, I wouldn't say a verbal attack, but a bit more of his opinion than I'd like. I don't go on forums to cause grief, but if I recieve any, I'll give it back double-dose. I can't be bothered with people like this.

In response to your YouTube query, just ignore daft comments. You know in your mind what your all about, and you don't need 'pundits' telling you the rights and wrongs. Some people go on YouTube and post comments to create rage, just because they are bored. Music video's are full of them

All activities and interests are unhealthy? I disagree.

if one becomes too obsessed over something it is like an addiction, which can be unhealthy.

yeah those weeaboo comments piss me off too, but I agree with a previous comment..tougher skin is definitely a must. i mean I'm actually going to Japan this summer, to study for 2 years and i have a pretty good mastery of the language and I still get called that. I admit i do love Japanese pop culture and language and history, but no one understands that I want to do something different with my life. i feel your pain. People are so stupid.

as long as its not an obsession to the point that you go crazy from addiction, then i think you are in good shape.

Don't worry, Americans can be very patriotic, you just have to nudge them really hard before they react. Most the time we more than happy to watch Britiny Spears or football or whatever, have our barbacues and enjoy talking about the idiot government and ignoreing the rest of the world.

It's when we notice the world that we become dangerous.

Some clanger, that! A Michigander wouldn't use the term "wanker", unless he was mimicing you when inviting you to go back across the pond where you came from.

No, most American are not stupid, nor rednecks, much less both --- No more than most Brits are bone-idle berks spending all day bending their elbows in pubs.

Ryzorian - correct; and I got that nudge, obviously. I may be intensely loyal to my second home in Huntingdonshire, but Shu pushed the wrong button.

Apart from the consensus that youtube attracts moronic and often hostile comments, I don't understand why someone would make a video to simply ask where to find something. It seems to me like that would be more effective in forums and discussions, than wasting your effort to make a video and other people's time to watch it.

Is my perspective outdated, or does this seem like too much effort in the wrong direction and media?

Dude you are freaking out from ONE troll/bully who is attacking you on the internet. I think you need to grow a pair man. There is always going to be bullies, trolls and just plain assholes. It is part of life, and the fact is the majority of people out there don't think this way and could care less about what you want to do with your life. I doubt most people have any idea what a weeaboo even is. You need to learn to roll with the punches my friend, or you are going to have a tough time in life.
