Hmm.. I don't 'respect' my parents 100%, cause I won't stand in for everything they do or say. If I did respect them, I wouldn't have gone get pierced, though they told me not to and stuff like that.
As a 16-yearold I think it's difficult to respect ur parents whole heartedly. Both physically and emotionally ur in a riot, trying to figure out the meaning and life etc. etc. therefore I think it's quiet normal not to respect and agree with ur parents. I don't see my father as my father, when he's not around for a while. Then he just seems like a friend, coming over for a meal, taking off at the end of the weekend. [ ♥<-- Jordan's heart! \(Ò_ó)/ ]

it could be that you were already born to respect or disrespect them. because they can be the meanest parents and the kid respects them. or they can be nicest parents and the kid totally disrespects them. I'd say it's the child's environment that makes the choice of how he/she will treat their parents. I respect my mom.... even tho she yells at me.... I don't yell back. even tho, she calls to tell crap me out.... I give her a few days and she's herself again. It's boring to hear her repeat the things she did when she was little. I still listen to them I guess I treasure her... because she's been my only friend thru thick and thin. |
