My Japan Trip in April w/ Daily Blog ! - 03-30-2011, 11:38 AM

Despite of all the events happening in Japan - a group of us decided that we are still going to be visiting in April. I have to admit I am a bit nervous mainly because of the stuff you read online/ hear on the news but I am also really excited I get to visit the one place in the world I only dream of living in !!

I havent been back to Japan since 2004 and its been way overdue. I really dont what to expect asides from what they've said on the news ( rolling blackouts, low key vibe ) ... but I am really hoping to make the most out of it.

Anyone who is interested in checking out adventures in Japan during my visit I openly invite them to check out my blog entries for my visit in Tokyo at :

JAPAN | | www.sideshowsito.com

Ive already set up everything so that link will contain all the entries for my trip . ill be documenting EVERYTHING that I encounter there and will be uploading whatever cool things I find down there as long as there are wifi spots available !

I'm really excited to see Akihabara, Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku, again ... but this time ill be staying in Yokohama for the first time !!

Anyone know of any great spots to check out id be more than happy head down there and check it out ( plus ill give you a shout out if i do end up going ) ---

7 more days till I fly out of Toronto ! ... *Holds Breathe*

I would exchange the yen once you get there.... Fees are too high here in N. America.... Got a better deal at Narita than I could ever get in Chicago...

But how much will the Canadian bank actually give you per dollar?

When I was leaving for Tokyo, the rate was $1=¥85. Chase Bank was willing to sell me yen for 81 to the dollar. At Narita, I got 83.40.
Japan had a better rate than the US.
