Online stores - 04-11-2011, 08:37 PM

Ok first of all I want to say I'm so sorry if this thread already existed, I've tried a few times to search for something similar but I haven't found anything. Second I don't know if this post is right in the general discussion, but it seems to fit nowhere else.

So... I'm looking for some online stores selling Japanese things. I'm not only talking about clothing, but also food, houseware, cosmetics, ... just a general Japanese online store. Sounds simple but it has to have international shipping and I would like to find some cheap ones.

To give you an idea about what I'm looking for :

The Number One Hello Kitty Shop + Moomins Shop + Artbox Shop Stationery Gifts Clothing and Sweets
www.tokyotoys.com
J-List -- You've got a friend in Japan!

So I hope someone can give me some good links so I can buy stuff to make this stupid appartement feel a bit more cozy.

If something is cheap, the chances are it is not made in Japan.

Well it doesn't have to be super cheap, just not way overpriced. The websites I gave here have decent prices to my opinion, so that's what I'm looking for. If I were to buy something straight from Japan it would be cheaper too than finding it here (and I would probably have to go to The Netherlands to find such things), but then it should be English websites (don't think a translator would be such a good idea). Oh and by the way they need to have paypal.

Japanese food supplies.com - History of 85 years

Just for a starter. I'll do more googling in the morning. It's kinda late here.

If you think J-List is reasonably priced, then I would use that.

Online stores are going to be the same as importers in your country, as everyone is marking up and paying for shipping.

Well they seem to be champions in making everything more expensive here so most people buy stuff online and ship it from America, The Netherlands or Germany (most common countries). I found a Japanese store in the capital city so I'll check that out when I have the time, but they'll probably only have food. If I compare it's still cheaper to ship things...
