Possible to operate online business get visa? - 07-16-2011, 12:53 AM

I operate an online business here in Canada, but I want to relocate to Tokyo and live there indefinitely. Is it possible to get a business visa to do this in Japan? I realize it depends on the business - i sell an online health resource - but I am just wondering if it is possible in general.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Yep, your interest is understandable. I'm simply exploring my options for staying in Japan long term. At first I was planning on Osaka to start with but then decided on Tokyo.

I am not a specialist.
I only search(google) it a little.

Reciprocate the home country and Japan several times with a short-term business visa etc. and do the opening preparation.
You apply for the residence qualification authorization certificate.

Acquire the resident status of the investment and management.

Demonstrate the stability and the continuation of the business.
Way used well for proof.
*1 Employ two people or more full-time.
or
*1 Do the investment of five million yen or more. (stated capital)

*2 Rent the office.

.......Considerably negligent English. ヽ(´ー`)ノ

Please permit poor English. orz

Thanks for researching and posting this information. I have read up online as well about starting a small business. My question is specifically about an 'online' business. I'm wondering if that is possible, given I would not be employing people, etc. It would be a 'sole proprietorship, which is allowed, but I'm not sure about the 'online' aspect.

I think that I cannot get the visa if you do not establish it in Japan-domestic.
(or, the branch is set up in Japan. )
The condition is the same also in the restaurant and the online shop.
The visa only for "Investment and management" is issued if it establishes it in Japan.
Because I am an amateur, it has become uneasy..............

Inquiring of the specialist is optimal.
